"And why do you worry / about clothes?
왜 너희는 염려하느냐 / 의복에 대하여
See / how the lilies of the field grow.
보아라 / 어떻게 들의 백합화가 자라는지
They do not labor / or spin.
그것들은 수고하거나 / 옷감을 짜지도 않느니라
Yet I tell you
그러나 나는 너희에게 말하노니
that not even Solomon / in all his splendor
솔로몬 조차 / 그의 모든 영광으로도
was dressed / like one of these.
입지 못하였느니라 / 이것들 중의 하나처럼
If that is how God clothes / the grass of the field,
만약 그것이 하나님이 옷을 입히시는 것이라면 / 들판의 풀을
which is here today
여기 오늘 있다가
and tomorrow is thrown into the fire,
내일 불 속에 던져지는
will he not much more clothe you,
그 분께서 더욱 더 많이 너를 입히시지 않겠느냐
O you of little faith?
오 너희 믿음이 적은 자들이여?
So do not worry, / saying,
그러므로 염려하지 마라, / 말하면서,
'What shall we eat?'
'무엇을 우리가 먹을까?'
or 'What shall we drink?'
혹은 '무엇을 마실까?'
or 'What shall we wear?'
혹은 '무엇을 입을까?'
For the pagans run after / all these things,
왜냐하면 이방인들이 구하는 것이니라 / 이 모든 것들을
and your heavenly Father knows
너희 하늘의 아버지는 아시느니라
that you need them.
너희가 그것들이 필요하다는 것을
But seek first / his kingdom and his righteousness,
먼저 구하라 / 그의 나라와 그의 의를
and all these things will be given / to you / as well.
그러면 이 모든 것들이 주어질 것이다 / 너희에게 / 또한
Therefore do not worry / about tomorrow,
그러므로 염려하지 말라 / 내일에 대하여
for tomorrow will worry about itself.
내일 걱정은 내일에 맡겨라
Each day has enough trouble / of its own.
각 날마다 충분한 괴로움이 있느니라 / 그 자체의
"Do not judge,
판단하지 말라
or you too will be judged.
그렇지 않으면 너희 또한 판단을 받을 것이다
For in the same way / you judge others,
왜냐하면 동일한 방식으로 / 너희들이 남을 판단하는
you will be judged,
너희가 판단을 받을 것이다
and with the measure / you use,
그 저울로 / 너희가 사용한
it will be measured to you.
너희도 저울질 당할 것이다
"Why do you look at / the speck of sawdust
너는 왜 보느냐 / 톱밥의 티를
in your brother's eye
너의 형제의 눈 속에 있는
and pay no attention / to the plank
주의를 기울이지 않으면서 / 널빤지에
in your own eye?
네 눈 속에 있는
How can you say / to your brother,
어떻게 말할 수 있느냐 / 너의 형제에게
'Let me take the speck out / of your eye,'
나로 하여금 그 티를 빼내게 하라 / 네 눈속의
when all the time / there is a plank / in your own eye?
항상 / 널빤지가 있으면서 / 네 눈 속에
You hypocrite,
너 위선자여
first take the plank out / of your own eye,
먼저 널빤지를 빼어내라 / 네 눈 속의
and then you will see clearly
그러면 너희는 밝히 보게 되어
to remove the speck / from your brother's eye.
그 티를 제거할 수 있을 것이다 / 네 형제의 눈에서
