A Prayer of Jabez 6

When Jabez prayed for God to bless him, he left the blessing to God. You know, there are some people today who are misapplying this prayer. They are saying, “Oh! God, bless me with a new BMW. God, bless me with a six figure income. God, bless me with this, this, this and this." And they turn it into a prosperity prayer alone. That is never how God meant this prayer to be. No, Jabez said, “God, I’m gonna leave it up to you to bless me with your supernatural favor. I want you to do for me what I cannot do for myself. That’s what it means to pray for God to bless you, to ask God to give you nothing more but nothing less than what he desires for you. Jabez prayed this prayer. And notice what happened. And God granted him what he requested. Do you know what happens, young people when you start throwing yourself in the river of God’s blessing?
Do you know what’s going to happen when you find yourself in that river of God’s supernatural blessing? You are going to discover that your life is marked by miracle after miracle after miracle.

When Jabez prayed / for God to bless him,
야베스가 기도했을 때 / 하나님이 자기를 축복해 주시도록

he left the blessing / to God.
그는 축복을 맡겼습니다 / 하나님께

You know, there are some people today
오늘날 어떤 사람들이 있습니다.

who are misapplying this prayer.
이 기도를 오용하는

They are saying,
그들은 말합니다,

“Oh! God, bless me / with a new BMW.
오! 하나님, 저를 축복해 주세요 / 새BMW차로

God, bless me / with a six figure income.
오! 하나님, 저를 축복해 주세요 / 6자리 수의 수입으로

God, bless me / with this, this, this and this."
하나님, 저를 축복해 주세요 / 이것, 이것, 이것, 그리고 이것으로

And they turn it / into a prosperity prayer alone.
그렇게 함으로써 그들은 그 기도를 바꾸어버립니다 / 복을 비는 기도 하나 만으로

That is never/ how God meant this prayer to be.
그것은 결코 아닙니다 / 하나님이 어떻게 이 기도가 되기를 의도하셨는지

Now, Jabez said,
자, 야베스는 말했습니다

“God, I’m gonna leave it up / to you
하나님, 저는 그것을 맡기겠습니다 / 당신께

to bless me / with your supernatural favor.
저를 축복하시는 것을 / 당신의 초자연적인 은혜로

I want you to do for me
나는 당신이 저에게 해주시기를 원합니다

what I cannot do /for myself.
내가 할 수 없는 것을 / 내 스스로

That’s what it means / to pray
그것이 바로 그것이 뜻하는 것입니다 / 기도하는 것

for God to bless you,
하나님이 당신을 축복하시기를

to ask God / to give you
하나님께 요청하는 것을 / 당신에게 주시기를

nothing more but nothing less
더도 말고 덜도 말고

than what he desires for you.
하나님이 당신을 위해 원하시는 것 보다

Jabez prayed this prayer.
야베스는 이 기도를 하였습니다

And notice what happened.
어떤 일이 일어났는지 보십시오

And God granted him / what he requested.
하나님은 수여해주셨습니다 / 그가 요청했던 것을

Do you know / what happens, young people
당신은 아십니까 / 어떤 일이 벌어지는 지, 젊은이들이여

when you start throwing yourself
당신이 당신 자신을 던지기 시작할 때

in the river of God’s blessing?
하나님의 축복의 강물에

Do you know / what’s going to happen
당신은 아십니까 / 무슨 일이 일어날지

when you find yourself
당신이 당신 자신을 발견할 때

in that river of God’s supernatural blessing?
하나님의 초자연적인 축복의 그 강물 속에

You are going to discover
당신은 발견하게 될 것입니다

that your life is marked
당신의 인생이 점철 되어있는 것을

by miracle after miracle after miracle.
기적 그리고 기적, 또 기적으로
